  • What is the Membership cost?

    There is no longer a charge for membership.

  • How long do I have to pick up my package after it has reached its final destination?

    You must collect your package within 14 days after delivery to your pick up location to avoid paying storage fees.

  • How is the freight on the package calculated?

    Freight is calculated based on the actual weight of the item

  • How are duties charged?

    Duties are charged based on the cost of an item exceeding USD$50 in value. The duty rates are applied based on customs tariff codes that can be accessed at the following link. Click here.

  • What items are prohibited?

    There’s quite a number items that are prohibited. Few examples are: gun holsters, knives, fire cracker, taser, camouflage clothing, motor bikes over 700cc, spear gun, weapons in general among others. See full list here

  • Is there any prohibited website?

    There are sites that Union One Express does not trust based on prior experience. See "Vendors not Used" page here

  • What exchange rate is used to translate to local currency?

    The exchange rate is based on the Bank of Nova Scotia's daily exchange rate on any given day. See rates here

  • Will I receive any package notifications?

    Yes, once you place an order you will receive 4 email notifications which will help to track the progress of your package. First email will be sent once your package arrives at the international warehouse, then once the package has been processed at the local warehouse in Kingston. The next email will notify you that your package is being sent to your pick up location and at this point you will receive the cost for the clearing the package. The final email will be sent once your package is at your pick up location and ready to collected.

  • How do I become a member with UnionOne Express?

    You can sign up online, visit our website at unionone-express.com or you can visit any of our fourteen (14) branches or any of our Union One Express agents.

  • Are there storage fees charged for items held at my pickup location?

    Yes, storage fees are charged if your item(s) is/are not collected within 14 days after delivery at your pickup location. The storage fee will be $350 per day per item thereafter.

  • When items are considered for auctioning?

    Yes. Failure to collect item(s) within 120 days after the item(s) has/have been delivered to your pickup location will result in the company auctioning the item(s) to recuperate all expenses incurred including storing of the item(s)

  • How long does packages takes to get to Jamaica?

    It depends on where your order is being shipped from. If it’s within the U.S then it will usually take about 1-2 weeks, orders from China can take up to 3-6weeks.

  • If I use your credit card will there be a charge?

    Yes, there is a five percentage (5%) service charge for orders paid using cash or a debit card and ten percent (10%) service charge for orders paid for using a credit card. The service charge is applied to the total cost of the item(s) being ordered.

  • What method of payment can I use?

    The payment methods are cash, credit or debit cards and manager’s cheques

  • What are your opening hours?

  • Do you open on Saturdays?

    Yes from every branch 10:00AM – 2:00PM. Head Office 10:00AM- 4:00PM

  • Which email address must I send my invoice(s) for item(s) that were purchased using credit processing at customs?

    You should send your invoice (s) to uniononeexpressjamaica@gmail.com after you have completed order(s) made using your credit card.

  • What is the maximum weight that can be shipped for any item?

    The maximum weight is 150lbs.

  • Can I send a barrel?

    We offer sea freight upon request.
